In Painkiller for PlayStation 5, you awaken in Purgatory – a world between heaven and hell – where, as a fallen soul, you get one last chance at redemption. The Voice of the Creator assigns you a deadly mission: stop the uprising of Azazel, a fallen angel aiming to unleash his demonic armies on Earth.
Play as one of four unique characters: Ink, Void, Sol, or Roch. Each has special powers and advantages that enhance your energy, health, damage, or mobility. Alone or in co-op with up to three players, fight your way through cursed cathedrals, gothic fortresses, and dark biomes.
Crush hordes of demons with a mix of new and iconic Painkiller weapons, hunt down Azazel’s three monstrous children, and upgrade your powers using magical tarot cards. Jump, dash, and hook your way through levels filled with hellish violence and brutal enemies.
Every encounter requires tactics, reflexes, and teamwork. Use your cards wisely, cooperate in co-op, or face hell alone offline. But beware: failure means eternal damnation.
