In ARK Survival Evolved (Code in Box) for Nintendo Switch, you awaken stranded on a mysterious island where survival is your primary goal. Gather resources, build shelter and face prehistoric creatures and other players. Tame dinosaurs and other beasts, develop your character and discover what it takes to survive, dominate and ultimately escape this unforgiving world.

Discover more than 80 different creatures that can be tamed. Weaken a wild beast until it becomes unconscious and then care for it to bring it to your side. Once tamed, you can give your creatures commands. Fly across the mountains on a Pteranodon, race through the jungle with a pack of Raptors or hunt prey with a mighty T-Rex. Breed multiple generations to develop the best characteristics of your creatures.
Every action requires energy, so you must constantly take care of your survivor. Find different types of food, craft clothing, build a secure shelter and make fire to protect yourself from the elements and attackers. Items have limited durability and can break when they are not repaired in time, making careful resource management an important part of survival.
Your actions earn experience and allow your character to level up. Unlock new Engrams that let you craft useful items or search for better blueprints in the most dangerous regions of the ARK. You can also customize the appearance of your survivor through the extensive character creation system.
Bring rare items to special locations to summon the mythical creatures of the ARK. These powerful opponents provide a major late-game challenge for experienced tribes and their trained beasts. Those capable of defeating these dangerous creatures can be rewarded with valuable items.
In the online world, your character remains present when you leave the game and the world continues around you. Your crafted items, equipment and tamed creatures also remain, meaning other players can affect what you have built. On servers supporting up to 70 players, you can cooperate or compete with other survivors, while special events provide opportunities to obtain limited items.
